Back door off hinge

Anyone had the back door pop out of the hinge arm? Mine did, and I'd like to fix it. At the dealer's, i didn't see a replacement nut or bolt to refasten the arm to the door. Advice welcome. Thanks.

Re: Back door off hinge

Are you talking about the hinge or the flat bar strut that keeps the door from slamming shut?

The flat bar strut.

It's fine itself, but the male bit that went into it is no more.

As you can imagine, the door opening too wide yanks on the cluster of wires going into the door.

If you are referring to a 463 model with a single door, then do this. Unscrew the portion in the frame. Get under the open door and insert the bar with the male portion back into the slot.

The slot has an enlarged portion at one end which lets you re-insert the strut bar. The pin (the male portion) had become loose on my car and I had to have it welded before I could return it to service.
