RE: Brake pads?

If you are going to buy break pads do NOT buy Mintex. I got a pair and they did not fit on the sides of the caliper so I had to return them. Also, you might just wanna change your front brake pads because your rears should be good for at least 60, 000 km or even more.
Here is some links to change the pads:

and although for E-class it's all the same

Yes that me all right. I took that photo when I first got the car in Indiana. Later I added the motion blur using digital software.
Glad to be on this forum.

Re: Brake pads?

Meanwhile, back at the ranch.......... (getting back to brakes)
I had used Bendix Ceramic in my LS before, with good stopping power, but eventually terrible squealing as the pads wore in a couple of months. Again, dust release was lower than OEM MB pads. But I replaced them with Raybestos ceramic. Stopping power is improved, squealing is all gone, and dust is negligible. I would recommend Raybestos over Bendix. Friction master is also good. I have Brembo pads on my S420 - stopping power is phenomenal, but dust is worse than OEM.

Zeaq is a good guy, He may be a mod at Benzworld, but a good friend and Benz lover should not mind posting here either. Invite him, what do you have to lose?
