I have quite a bit on my plate right now. Repaint my 80 280E Repaint my 78 280E Red Baron including lots of rust deletion, replace the euro bumpers, drivers side taillight, replace drivers door panel, replace mirror on passenger side, replace suspension components and lower 2",install stereo system and some more little this and thats. Drag the 80 280CE home and repair the dent in the rear section near the license plate and maybe get to actually painting it by end of the year. No sweat huh?

I plan to drive it until the point where it will no longer drive=) Really, I'll do maintenence on it, I'll replace things that are economical to replace, but if it ever gets crunched or the engine/transmission fails.. I think it'll be parted to youall instead of being repaired. The car is sturdy and I just plain adore it, but I shan't spend more than half the cars replacement value on a repair.

Sounds good, Nutz, I need to fix the blower motor and try to get the AC to come back to life. Next I’ll change out the diff fluid. Then replace all the heater hoses, which I believe is the source of a coolant leak. After the leak is fixed I’ll replace the coolant. It gets an oil and filter change along with new fuel filters at 400,000 miles.

Well as you know the value of these diesels are increasing almost daily it seems at times ,so anything that you repair may down the road pay for itself when and if you sell it.
