I think we DID lose posts. Where's my Wendy's one?

Not that it was all that exciting ... but it doesn't seem to be here.

Hi Ron

I was thinking that too, but it makes me feel better that it has so I didn't have to remind myself what gluttony took place in the land of the golden arches !!

What is happening here? Yesterday, I had over 30 posts in my name. Today, I have 27... At BenzWorld, I went from over 860 posts to 816. Also, the Grand unification of SLK forums? thread is only one page long now. Where have the other posts gone? Not that this is very important, really, but it is rather weird. I feel like I am in the twilight zone...

The oil consumption thread is also missing. Maybe the server backup was too long ago ??

I don't think Jim has finished adding everything. Give it some time.

Other problem: I no longer get a message whenever a new post is added to a thread I subscribed to. I have to check "manually".

Zut, I think that I lost about three, myself. As Yogi Berra once said: "It's like deja vu, all over again!" Dinoman

I am starting to loose interest, unfortunately. I miss the fun we used to have. Ah well, all things must pass, I suppose.

Zut, I feel much the same as you do. In the very short time that I participated at BW, I was exhilarated by the back-and-forth of so many interesting people. Some of us were technically inclined, some were more interested in cosmetic appearance of our cars, and some liked to race (Easty, for instance). As I said several days ago, the momentum seemed to have stopped. Perhaps some of that can be recaptured here, but even should that not happen, I plan to stick around. I hope that you do too, as I think that we look at things in similar ways. It may never equal the intensity of the former BW, but anything is better than nothing, in my opinion. Dinoman

I do not want to leave the forum. And I do appreciate the efforts made by the administrators. I am simply not enthusiastic about this forum for some reason even though I love the look of it. But as they say, Rome was not built in one day.

Zut, please stick around. Let us be patient as the administrators work hard.

I shall. In the long run, there will be a strong base of "elite members" here. I am just a little impatient.

I cannot say that I am an F1 enthusiast but if the CLK63AMG is part of the event, chances are it will be showcased in the streets of Montréal during the festivities surrounding the Grand Prix. I shall keep you posted.

RE: I think we DID lose posts. Where's my Wendy's one?

I'm actually coming over to watch the race. The CLK63 is the current safety car used during the race if required. Montreal is a great place to watch the F1 and the good citizens of Montreal make such a weekend out of it. I've been over for the last couple of years racing, and the manner in which they embrace the F1 is amazing, streets closed, car displays and events, Rock concerts in the city centre, its a great place and you should be proud of the show they put on.
You should make an effort to get to the race, if you haven;t been before the noise will blow you away, literally !!
