Little upgrades for the G...hood stay and steering wheel

I scoured up some parts and custom made a few in order to install the hood stay which makes work in the engine bay a bit more "friendly". I wanted one ever since someone posted a photo last year. It is slick.
Another upgrade was replacing my worn steering wheel which had most of the "nubs" worn off with one from a W123 chassis that seemed to have little use....it feels so much nicer.

The rubber band for the jack is a good idea.
My leather strap just broke so I went with a nylon cam strap.

I went back to the leather strap, it was still orderable....I just can't remember when I purchased. I do remember having to add an additional hole or two...
Just like my belts.

I was pulling hard on the strap to get to that first hole when it broke...

Should have just hole punched it

This thick Nylon Strapping material in readily available is rolls. Depending on the width I have a lot of it.And in different colors for those who want to make a statement.
