| M110 Dies during hot warm up, won't stay running until warm
Hey W126 group
I have a 1985 G wagon w/ 67k original miles that has the m110, and I'm posting here as well as the g forum about this really weird issue I'm having. When the car is cold from sitting over night, i can start it and it will fit right away and warm up, maybe due once during warm up, but you can always start it again and it will stay running.
If you let the car sit for about an hour after this, then go back to start the car, it will start. BUT - right when the temp gauge begins to exit the solid block of white on the left the car dies and it will take 20+ minutes to get it started again. When it dies it feels like someone just turned the ignition off, and when you try to restart the car, it will sometimes fire and rev once to 1500 then die, sometimes it will RevJump up and down between dying and 1500+ But it always seems like once the car is able to get warm enough it will start running again and be totally fine.
I've tested my fuel pressure twice and they are in spec, I've got good return flow to the tank per factory spec, fuel pump and filter are reasonably new and the fuel accumulator is a year old, and it has a rebuilt warm up regulator. It also has a new ignition coil, plugs, wires, cap, and rotor, so at this point I don't think it's the fuel system or the ignition system and has something to do with the AAV since that's the only heat reliant thing i have not checked.
Any other ideas or helpful suggestions?? |
