The 107 dodges a bullet.
Hannah swept through for a quick visit and decided that an older tree near the pad that I park the 107 on no longer needed to remain upright. I don't know why but I had an odd feeling the night before, so I left it parked in the front drive. When this tree fell, it landed on the corner of one of my storage containers and stopped.
Those two happy circumstances combined to keep the car safe.
The empty spot is where the 107 usually resides. The leafy branches arefrom the tree leaning across the top of the two containers. Here's the tree leaning over the containers. This is how the space above the containers is supposed to look, minus the logs and chips of course. Thank God I bought a chainsaw a few years ago. That's the neighbor's yard and red shed. You can see the tree with the freshly sawed end at the top of the picture.
Bad lighting but this is the tree almost cut down to the stump. |
