Street racing is not the safest "sport" this side of the Pearly Gates, but sometimes we get caught up in the moment. Who did you "kill", or who "killed" you? Sometimes the "I got killed" stories are even funnier then the ones where we win the race...  |

Heading off to a job on Wednesday I had a Holden Commodore take off real quick in front of me (they use a Corvette V8 motor)
I hung with him to 120 k's (60k zone) when we came to a red light. He looked over at me with the look of " why didnt I loose you?"
He peeled left.
On my way home I was on a very busy main road. An old 2 wheel drive builders Hilux was in front on me and he took off thru a gap in the traffic and I followed to the front line at next set of lights.
On the green he took off next to me really quick, my poor little SLK was running as hard as I could to just pull in front, both backed off about 140 ks.
Ha Ha , a sleeper, hilux, large V8.............
Pretty pleased with the 2.3 litre in front of me

Came up along side a bright red Super Sport Camero at a traffic light  Now normally I don't even like to hear about street racing, but sometimes you just can't help yourself...  . The light turned and we left the line fairly slowly, but I was just a little ahead of him. That's when he nailed the throttle and got the jump on me, about a half cars worth of jump. I nailed it too at that point, and it was all over for him....  . I pulled ahead like he threw an anchor out the window, and kept pulling until I had about five car lengths. Then I throttled back and let him catch up. The look on his face was priceless . It was clear he had no Idea what AMG on the trunk lid meant  . The kid had a good looking car, and now a story to tell. I guess, so have I......  |

2000 SLK 230 messed around with a new M5 totally spanked me....but hung with him in the traffic |

Kill story? I was in bed reading when I heard some glass breaking outside. I grabbed my Glock from the nightstand and took off the safety. I saw the guy crawling through the window and centered my laser sight on his forehead.....oh....wrong kill story, sorry. |
