The SLR's future

Do you guys see the SLR as a one time supercar like the Bugatti Veyron, or do you supposed we'll see redesigns in the future?

RE: The SLR's future

my guess is that they will at least do a facelift on the SLR, like they always do, but I'm not sure about them making a "New SLR". I think they will make something completely new. I remember reading in a car magazine last year that they may make a McLaren Mercedes P8 in 2008 or so. I assume it will be released much later, if it is. Here are some pics of the design:

I recall that the P8 was slotted to be the hardcore supercar whereas the SLR was more of a GT. The P8 is rumored to be mid-engine, rear wheel drive, yadda yadda yadda.

Sounds cool. That would be cool if they made it. Would the P8 be in Veyron Territory, or...??

I don't think anything will be able to touch the Veyron in terms of top speed. I don't know how the Veyron handles, so I can't comment on it.

I think the P8 is slotted to go against the Ferraris and Lamborghinis.

Is the P8 going to be another joint venture with McLaren?
