| coolant change 87 300 sdl
What am I doing wrong? Had to drain radiator to change vacuum pump, now that I've refilled coolant tank, runs hot. Radiator is cold, engine is hot. What did I not do. |

You havent done anything wrong. There is air in the coolant system that needs to release.When refilling the antifreeze always have the front end of the car on ramps,this will help the air evacuate.Always keep an eye on the temperature gauge to make sure it doesn't over heat.It takes a few minutes but air will evacuate and the temperature will return to normal.
