Removing Steering Wheel from 1978 280 SEL W116

Hi every one,Walt here I am a New Member to this site from Queeland Australia.
I own a lovely extremely well preserves 78 280 SEL W116
Is ther someone on here that can instruct me as to the correct procedure to removing the steering wheel from my Merc.I am un sure ass to how to go about it and dont want to start without knowing what ime up to, so as not to do any damage.Your assistance in regard to this matter would be most appreiciated .Kind Regards Walt

Are you wanting just to remove the wheel or the column as well? Removing the wheel is very easy. Removing the column is more involved because of all the wiring.
