Not sure how to put the subject for my problem. The engine in my 1986 G-Wagen 230GE is dead and I am after an economic fix. Can anybody advise on what is needed to fit flywheel and clutch to an engine from an automatic car, so that it will fit a manual gearbox? There are lots of used Mercedes cars but all automatics. I hope to buy the car, take out the engine to put in my G and junk the rest - heartless I know, but cheaper than getting my own engine rebuilt. I am looking at W124 & W124 280, 300 etc. The same engines were used in G-Wagen at that time so I know the engine will fit - it's getting the clutch that I am not sure about. Any advice would be appreciated. | ||
