| 1982 300 SD electric seat switch
Good morning to all, the other day I had to change my passenger switch that controls the movement of the seat. I purchased a new switch and pins, cut and soldered the wires to the pens assembled the plugs per colorcode that was provided on the plugs and only the lower portion of the seat works the movement of the reclining does not. Help

If it worked prior to changing switches could be bad connection there or could be corroded grounding for separate motor for upper seat function.
I had a power seat in my Grand Wagoneer that grounded through attaching bolt. Attachment corroded over time and was very difficult to find problem.
It pays to jump the individual motor with leads from battery to be sure motor functions. |
