I just purchased a 1990 W124 and it is a one owner beauty...it has what looks like the factory installation for a cell phone with the cradle in the console,,,has anyone ever removed the components-and if so, what should one be aware of after the removal...or,,is there a source for the phone itself (mine is missing) so it can at least occupy the bare cradle...?
Thanks |

| RE: Cell Phone
I shut off the phone, unscrewed the cradle and put my Sirius Sportster in its place. The only problem has been when I replaced the battery, it activated the phone so that I would get a phone beep through the speakers when I turned on the car. To rectify, I plugged the phone handset into the plug and hit the power button on the phone. This turned off the phone. I keep the phone in the trunk just in case I have to shut it off again. |
