Oh and yeah, it's kind of shocking how space-inefficient (and weight-inefficient) the CL is, compared with an econo car.

The Neon may be bigger in some areas, but for me, it all comes down to which one I'd rather be in (regardless of size).
Don't be so fucking snooty-- You're not a doctor yet.
Snooty? Right...

... I'm leaning toward the Marquis more and more.

I can't even believe my eyes.

Got to drive the next one forever and save those pennies for that CLK I'll drive until I die and that my heirs will trade-in(for pennies on the dollar) on a Ford or something else I'd never approve of.

coupe or cabrio??

One good thing that's coming out of my having the automotive taste in the family.... My niece has already requested that she be given the VW in 6 years when she starts driving! My heart swells just talking about it!!

Tell your niece that Marsden says she is way cool ... you've brought her up right

I just want something substantial with a modicum of class that'll also last a long time, ride comfortably, have decent power and something built by people I feel comfortable supporting.

It'll be a coupe-- cabrios are for pussies.

Real men drive roadsters

Aww boohoo, did someone get butthurt? Don't take it so personal. The Neon may be similar to the CL in size and be larger than it in rear legroom, I'd still rather be in the CL both either in the front or back seat.

It's attitudes like the one you showed that make me want to throw up my hands and be done with these fine automobiles.

I'll venture back to off-topic wherever I don't have to put on airs and throw my nose up to fit in.

Sorry to have been rude.

He merely said he'd prefer a CL to a Neon.

Is that really a surprise; does it really need explaining?

He certainly wasn't being snooty about it.

I'm sure the Neon forums have people who prefer Neons.

Sure, but I'd rather have a hybrid with a 4-cyl   (gas or diesel)

So long as I can have my AVS etc etc...

BTW I finally figured out how to use them, you have to turn them on (along with the A/C) and let them run for a minute before you get into the car.  Not exactly ideal, but it does give you cool seats...

The CDI is still my favorite MB engine, along with the Bluetec.

Imagine that freight-train torque along with 40mpg hwy.

I wish they'd put it in all their cars!
