| No clue where to turn for 85 500SEL (wont start)
this is about my 1985 euro spec 500SEL. she's been sitting in my driveway for about 3 months... i noticed she had problems starting, ie long time turning over before any spark for a little bit. sometimes she would fire right up, other times it would take a few seconds longer. one day, she just kept cranking and never did start. she has a half tank of gas... my first guess would be a fuel pump, but Im not sure. Anyone have ideas? So sad, becuse she's immaculate... except that she wont start  I'd appreciate ANY ideas.

Fuel pump relay perhaps or dirty EHA |

Definately check the contacts from the fuel pump relay plug and pins on the FP relay. Sometimes corrosion sets in and makes for a dirty contact. |
