High tech lighting

This is a little off topic, but I know lots of people here are into techy gadgetry, camping, and mountain biking. A guy I work with makes these things so I thought I'd take the opportunity to bring friends together that might benefit from each others' interests. Its cool setup for a LED headlamp for mountain biking, or whatever use you can dream up. No need to reply, just wanted to share it.

Enjoy,

Re: High tech lighting

Those look good. I'd have to see ond for real though.

I've seen these, and I was impressed. I know I'll have a few sets when the price comes down:

They list at 250ea. I think I can get them for ~125 these days. Still 250+ tax is not cheap. However, just one of them overpowered my low beam quite well. You can get different light beam patterns too, which I think is VERY nice. Flood light works really nice, even for lighting arround the camp fire.

Looks good, Dave. Have you used one? Are they pretty well sealed against water? We use headlamps when we are cleaning the presses, people have to get up inside them and it is dark in there. Better lighting ideas are always interesting to me. I use on of these: http://www.blackdiamondequipment.com/en-us/shop/mountain/lighting/i...
Pretty great set-up, very high level of light. It is in the G when it isn't in the winery during harvest.

I'm not Dave and I have not used one of those amoebalight but I have used the Cree XR and they are freakishly bright. A buddy of mine is using them for his aquarium lighting.

I'm building some [in the future] for camping but this might be cheaper and faster. I'd like to mount these on the body of the G.
