Pulling that glow plug and craning your neck to see down that stupid tube for a faint glow...sometimes it seemed like hours. The floor rusted out in the late 80's. We kept a small hand held bilge pump in the car for rainy weather. At traffic lights we would pump out the floor boards. Of course in the winter you would alternate with spraying windex on the windscreen because the washer fluid wasn't working. Oh, and acceleration! Getting passed by rickshaws, poodles and tumbleweeds while at full throttle was always an embarrassing moment. Unfortunately the rust got the best of her. Goodbye 1976 and hello 190D. | ||
