Drivers window 2001 clk cab

Hi I have a drivers window going up all the way then returning about 5 cm down to a open position. this is when the door is closed.
If I open the door and close the window it works fine and air thight.
Any ideas where to start.

If it were just a couple centimeters, I'd think it was the door-closing clearance feature acting up.

As it is, not sure, but the 209 and 211 have an all-up/all-down programming feature which can be reset via the key fob, per your manual.

Sometimes resetting that can cure problems such as you are having.

Just throwing out an idea or two here..

Could also be the pinch protection overreacting. The seals or whatever could be a little "tight" making the system think something is caught between the window and door.

Same thing would happen with the ML a while back. Since then it hasn't happened.

I was always under the impression that you just need to reset the windows.  In other words, press the button to roll the window down but not using the express function, then once down click all the way on the button and hold down for a few seconds.  The do the same up.  See if that helps.
