Electronics?

Hi everyone. I have a C250TD, the light on the instrument cluster for low coolant level has come on. The coolant is not low and it is not the sensor in the expansion tank stuck 'closed'. If the windscreen washer low level warning comes on, this will extinguish the coolant level light! Any ideas? Regards Scott

THREAD REVIVAL!!!!

I had an issue with the windscreen washer low level warning light on my C43, the dummy light was on and I was full of fluid. I pulled the sensor and cleaned it. I made sure the float could go up and down, cleaned the electrical contacts, and out it back in. BOOM light went off! I suggest you double check your sensors, then the wiring. It really sounds like you have a faulty sensor or wiring issue, I am leaning towards the sensor.

Re: Electronics?

Hi,
I have had similar issue with my C230K, one or both of the sensors will be at fault, they are wired in series and if one fails it can put the other warning light on.
I ended up replacing both of mine because I refused to believe that a fault with one sensor would put the others warning light on.
One consolation is they were quite cheap from the stealers, IIRC approx. £15ea. (though that was a few years ago now) but you might be worth trying ECP or GSF for them.
