Curious, a good deal or no?

I came across this on our local craigslist. I am not really looking to buy, but this sure is a neat looking car and looks to be original. Curious if these are rare or otherwise desirable / collectable?

If anyone is interested I will go check it out and give you a full unprofessional opinion.

RE: Curious, a good deal or no?

That one does look good, but the SLC's aren't terribly desirable.

Only for the man who must have an SL and a back seat as well.

The reason convertibles command such a premium in the classic and semi-classic markets is because those are cars you tend to drive only when the weather is nice anyway.  So why not enjoy it with the top down?

They're asking a healthy price, but if it has a FSH it might be the one, for someone.

RE: Curious, a good deal or no?

Hey Marsden, thanks for the reply. My neighbor owns a 560 SL, what a car! Of course we only see it on sunny days.

Ah. That makes more sense than the words I was coming up with. Thank you.
