This is my 1989 300E; to me it's perfect. I'm not into lowering or blinging up my car, I think the w124 is the greatest car ever made (I haven't driven the new S-class yet though!), keeping it the way it left the show room is my hobby - I guess it takes all kinds! The only thing I've done to spoil it from the original was to add Pedders Trak-Ryder suspension. I am pleased with the compromises in ride-height and handling as we live in the country and often travel poorly-made roads. Having said that however my place of work is at the end of a privately owned and very well maintained road and the 300E regularly sees 200 km/h. Next purchase will be Michelin XM1 tires - running Bridgestone at the moment, which I regret.
