Here she is my 1979 300SD.....tweaked up with Euro Lights and bumpers and Ronal R-9 rims.

To me the Euro Lights and bumpers transform the car. Even if NO 300SD ever came with them. Being it was a US market only car.

BenzDieselTuner - 6/24/2006 11:03 AM "correctness" is the way to go, in my book........... Well they are "correct" for the W116 chassis in the sense its how the car was designed to look. It was the US Feds that mandated the round sealed beam headlights and the park bench bumpers. However on the 300SD they are not correct since it was a US market only car. THe Ronals are Period correct if not model correct. |

We do the same with the 126 300 SDs, had the DOT not mandated the lights they would have shipped with the proper lamps, even to the US market only.
The rims work well with the large chassis - very nice example. |
