Route 66 Road Tour Starts in Chicago

The MBCA Route 66 Road Tour starts Saturday from Chicago. This will conclude in L.A. in two weeks. Stops in many cities along the way are planned. For a look you can log onto www.mbclub.com, or www.mbca.org. Over 100 cars will take part, many older cars will participate. This celebrates 50 years of the club's history.

So far, 1 Gullwing out with cracked cam tower, 1 S 550 out with fuel problems (computer), and one R 500 out.

The Tour made a stop Here in So Cal at The Mercedes Benz Classic Center...Lots of Very special cars!
The One off SLK on a G wagon chassis with matching Trailor...was there

The Route 66 Tour was a huge success! Look for lots of photos of the trip in the next issue of the Mercedes-Benz Club Magazine, THE STAR, in the essay section.

The Route 66 story is in the new NOV/DEC STAR magazine. Great photos and beautiful cars! A great time was had by all.
