jdc1244 Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | How Does Tire Rack Work? Alright, I find my dream tires at Tire Rack for a great low price, even with shipping and handling charges I'm still ahead and I got to avoid the pushy salesman with the bait and switch scam telling me my car will only take the $800 per tire tires. My tires arrive via UPS or whomever. Now what? I have neither the equipment nor skill to install the tires on the rims myself. Do I take my new tires and car down to my local Goodyear shop where they gladly and joyfully put them on for free? Will Goodyear or any tire shop put them on for me at all if they're not installing their tires? And how much will this cost?

There should be no problem what so ever, with you going to your local tire shop and getting them to put the tires on for you. For sure it will not be free! I think that you can count on about $25+- to have each tire balanced and mounted. So add $100.00 +- to what you paid for the tires and see if you are still ahead.

Jillian80 Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | RE: How Does Tire Rack Work? I think there is a link on Tire Rack's site to shops that will put the tires on--for a fee, of course. I believe you can even have the tires shipped directly to the installer to save the hassle of transporting them yourself.

That is a photo of my Samoyed, Phoenix. That photo was taken last fall, he was a little over 14 then. He had to be put to sleep this past February 1st I really miss him!!! He was a great and very courageous friend. He had very advance athritis in his spine..... Phoenix got his name from the fact that I had a previous Samoyed when I was young, and his name comes from the mythology of the "phoenix" that rose from the ashes. I am going to get a Samoyed puppy this summer, his name will be Ghost, no only because he is white, but because he will be, in a way, the spirit of Phoenix.......

fgwinn Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | It works this way at my MB dealer.... I arranged with the local MB SA to have the dealer install the tires I get from Tire Rack. The only requirement is that I supply a tire brand that the dealer does not carry. They sell Conti and Michilen. So if I bring in Pirelli tires plus $20 per tire for mounting and balancing I am all set.

phoenix44 Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | RE: How Does Tire Rack Work? iNeon - 5/23/2006 10:03 AM But...but...but.. but they look just the same! distant cousins. A male Samoyed weighs about 75-80lbs. A spitz alot less. The Samoyed is from Siberia, they were used by the Samoyed tribe for hearding pulling, guarding and as buddies. Sam's are great family friends, they love kids (not to eat), and are very intelligent. Mine have always been great guard dogs, trained from "puupy kindergarten" through levels 1, 2, 3, and 4. The Spitz is thought to have originated in Asia, and it is thought that it's closest cousin is the Chow Chow.

PineComp Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | Re: How Does Tire Rack Work? Bought a set of tires for my ML 320 from tire rack, worked out great. Tire Rack shipped them to a Firestone dealer 5 miles from home, they notified me when they came in, installed and balanced for $17.50 per tire. Saved almost $100 when all was said and done.

Marsden Classic MB Date registered: Apr 2006 Location: Capital City USA Vehicle(s): Mercedes-Benz | RE: How Does Tire Rack Work? Thanks for the TR advice.. I may do that one day. But, why not another dog? There are some good ones down at your local shelter.. I know that no one will ever match the one I now have, but I'll be willing to give one a chance..
