My latest Benz

Here she is. Found her through MBUSA. She is a CPO 2005 E320 CDI. Nav, Sirius, Wood & Leather, Heated seats/steering wheel, rear seat package and glass sunroof. Drove her back from Kentucky. Veeerry nice. Almost don't want to give her up to the wife, but at least I get to keep the '95.

Looks very nice! Alabaster white is super sharp.

Did you add the accessories?

RE: My latest Benz

Thanks. She knows she is lucky. She had to have Alabaster White. I had a choice of driving to Denver or Kentucky. The Denver dealer never called me back while James Motors contacted me immediately and made a great no hassle deal over the phone and email. Great experience, although a long drive home. A Doctor owned it. he added the chrome trim (headlight bezels, door handles), Sirius, Nav and tinted windows. She also has the in dash 6 disk changer under the motorized door. Wicked cool.

Give me his number. I want to talk to him about things, including the pin striping.

Re: My latest Benz

Pinstripping is cool. It is two colours, silver and tan and it has a benz star on the front quarter panels. Don't have the docs number.

Cowboy - Thought you'd like the photo with the horse. He wanted to go for a ride in the new car.

But the pin striping is on the roof too, near the doors?

Re: My latest Benz

That is part of the seat package. Ski bag with pass through and she has a special channel with flip up ports for the optional ski racks.

RE: My latest Benz

Speaking of headlights, will someone tell me why there are two separate filaments (bulbs) in each of the parking lights?

Wooowiiieeeee...I just noticed something. I think your horses like the new E too. Look at the last picture, top left corner.

Are there really two filaments in the city lights?

One is your parking light, the other is your high beam.

Re: My latest Benz

Figure I'd update my thread. 2005 now has 143,000 miles. Chrome headlight ring fell off on one of our famous 100+ degree days. melted the adhesive. Have no idea where is fell off. Someone probably picked it up and thinks it is from an alien space ship.

COMAND system imploded this year. Fried itself. After weighing the options I opted for a Kenwood touch screen DVD/Garmin GPS/Bluetooth/Sirius unit. Cheaper than repairing or replacing plus I get Bluetooth and a far superior and up to date Garmin GPS.

NO MECHANICAL ISSUES since purchase. Averaging 38 mpg on the highway at 70mph. LOVE THIS CAR.

RE: My latest Benz

Nav stopped working. DVD would not eject. Then started turning itself on and off like it was possessed then it just went dead. Checked fuses - power to unit.

Shouldn't have said anything. 145,000 miles. Check Engine light comes on. Time to replace glow plug.
