Where did you end up ordering your brake parts from?  I know I'm going to have to do this one day and I'm still completely undecided on what to get and from where.

Check it out:

I lowballed at $250 and they refused. I went up to $275 and they took it with $49 shipping. The pads are Axxis and the rotors are probably brandX or something, I think they machine their own.

That's cool.  I know BB has always recommended Irotors so I guess I'll be getting the same thing when I go to purchase my brakes.  Let me know how the pads turn out though.  I've always heard that you don't want to go with the Ultimate ceramic but that the Deluxe pads work much better.  Maybe it was either lower dust or less squeaky or both.

The guy I bought the car from was OEM all the way and I never had any break dust or squeaks whatsoever, so I'm a little nervous about these. Also had a good experience with Mintex on the ML and that thing sees some serious brake action.

My car has been all OEM until I got a hold of it and although I have never heard one squeak from the brakes (which has been absolutely great) the brake dust is really really bad.  So I know I want low dust pads but not if it's going to start squealing on me for some stupid reason.

I wonder then if they'd be willing to swap out the deluxe instead of ultimate.  Of course it almost sounds like you'd be screwing yourself then and I really don't know if the deluxe pads are "better" for our car or not.

It wasn't in the auction, but just a general thougth.  After reading basically the first couple of lines of each of these pads, I definitley want the deluxe pads.

I think this hood guy burned me. Hasn't responded to my emails about a tracking number even though he said it shipped out.

Hasn't he been on mbworld for awhile now?  I wouldn't think he would.  Isn't he also in SoCal?  Go sick JoshK on him.

Yeah, seems kind of weird. Maybe he's a busy guy.

You'd think after that whole truck part fiasco that happened last year where they found out everything about the guy that you wouldn't try and burn anyone over these kinds of forums.
