Just Ordered....

149 dollars worth of Amsoil products..........

filters, u know, and a fill + 2 quarts of Series 3000 Heavy Duty Diesel, making 10 quarts.......

2 more quarts of Amsoil ATF to top off the trans and power steering with.............

and the coolest thing is this, it used to be only 12k miles reccommended use, but now the Series 3000's forumla has been improved, and now its 25k miles, or 1 year, drain interval between changes.......sweet..........

i got the best protection, almost no more internal friction, and its for a whole year now!

I agree with Nutz, and fix those headlight doors too-- they look like ass.

Are you having oil analysis done to be SURE you can run this oil for a whole year?!?

It seems that no oil would be able to keep the soot in suspension that long and that you'd end up with sludge or deposits of soot somewhere in there? Does the oil not acidify at such long drain intervals?

Re: Just Ordered....

u change the oil filter every 6k miles still.......top off like a half a quart then.........in between u basicly dont have to top off at all, while its so un-combustable, that there is no more consumtion (hardly)

i add half a quart every 2k miles or so.............

Re: Just Ordered....

I'd still rather change my oil with dino oils and buy an ozer.

That said-- I changed to synthetic in the Shlomo and nothing has changed.

Re: Just Ordered....

well, that would be good too...........

and what "alledgedly synthetic" oil did u switch to? most are allowed by the US Government to claim full synthetic, when they are actually only 60 percent............

mines 100% Polyalphaolefin Molecules, no nasty petroleum at all!

who wants to really support the oil giant?

we all should be using b-100 biodiesel, and amsoil fluids, and CUT THEM OFF!

1) I have used Shell Rotella since I bought the car-- switched from 15w40 dino(white bottle) to the 5w40 synthetic (blue bottle)

2) If we stopped supporting the oil companies and only bought biodiesel and AMSoil, would it not be the exact same situation, just flip-flopped?

It'll be exactly the same if the Dems win the next presidential election... They'll be the ones gloating, telling the Repubs to leave if they don't like how things are-- the happy medium seems to be gone forever in favor of eletist, arguementative bickering... in all things. I really wish folks would just shut up about how theirs is the best and everything else sucks.

Different strokes for different folks.

How boring would the world be if we only had Mercedes cars and biodiesel as fuel?
