| G-AMG G-Class DIY Host Date registered: May 2006 Location: South Texas Vehicle(s): '04 G55, '80 280GE, '99 S420, '98 E320, 2011 E350  | Photo DIY- Sway-Bar Link & Bushing R/R Since I've been spending more time driving the S lately, I've been noticing several issues... one of which is a Clunky-Rattle at low speeds, plus a SLIGHT vibration at 55mph. Putting her up on the "rack".. and probing with a pry bar.. found very sloppy Sway-Bar Links, and squashed bushings. This procedure is for 1999 S420. I must say, this job was WAY more difficult than it "needed" to be.... Why the designed it so one must dismantle the brake system, in order to access the one stupid nut.... I'll never know.. Overall, a Straightforward job. My Stuck Rotor on the Right was the only bummer... A few Notes: 1- PURCHASE NEW NUTS AND BOLTS! ESPECIALLY THE CALIPER BOLTS! 2- Some of the "new" hardware is of a DIFFERENT Drive size, so don't get weirded out...
