| SL issues
I'm usual at the G-forum when visiting this web site. This time I'm asking for some help regarding the SL class.
I'm presently working in the US for a period and have considered bying a SL to take home to Norway.
There are some special rules importing a classic and it's more or less the only way we can get a decent car in without paying in blood to the Norwegian state.
I see that the 280SL is the most desirable of the vehicles, conclusion just by looking at the asking price.
Which engine has issues? where to look for rust?
I did see there was a linq to an article about the 107 series, but the linq did not work?
The model year I'm looking at is up to and including 1982.

If you were willing to go to '89, I'd suggest the 560 due to it's newer technology and dependability. |
