The BMW is bought through an Govt car Auction. Some SL's, Porsche,Supra and Nissan Z were also Auction. All belongs the to king's Brother.

Unless you want a new number or the owner wants back the number plate, then change to a new number. In this case since it'a the govt. Auction, they didn't care about it.

Also the number is not a Golden number.Just a normal running number. Golden number is like 8888, 3003, 2424 etc.

That's cool. Were they auctioning any of the King's cars? ...like his custom Ferrari's?

That's cool about the license plates. I like the license plates on your BMW. They look nice. Your BMW looks really good. I like the silver color. Cars look great in Silver.

Re: Zeq 320

No customs cars or rare ferrari were auction. Only those cars that were "normal" and old for them.

Many people bought the car and ended up with expensive repairs. Luckily for my BMW, it's on a 328 and repairs are not that expensive as the SL or Porsche.

Thought the royal family would have taken very good care of their cars?

Well if the cars are place in the garage(Like warehouse) for 10 over years without starting it. Many things would go wrong.

Even fungus(sp)/mould are grown on some leather.

All the 100 plus cars auction have low milage. Most have 87km-80km or even 10km on it.

At the auction.Photo is not allowed. But since it's like once in 2 or 5 years or even don't have. I USE a cell phone. All taken in 2003.

aww, o well. I don't know if they will ever sell those car huh? I think that was a good choice in getting a 3 series. They seem to be reliable and low maintenance cars.

I am amazed by those pictures zeaq. Thanks for sharing them.

So, all those cars were being auctioned off? Did all of them sell? Those look really good.

I assume that burgundy W140's was one of the earlier models with different stock rims huh?

Re: Zeq 320

Yes all of them have been sold. Some chinese guy even bought one of the SL for 90k and some for 80k. I mean the minimum price for the SL was 62k and 72k. 62k for the 500SL and 62k for the 600SL.

The Ferrari and RR shown in the 2nd Pics were not sold. Nobody wants them. It's expensive and no where to repair it.

I think they will be exported to some other country. The W140 300SEL is a 91 i think.

Most of the Mercedes sold there are 1990/1991 model.

Perhaps they sent a bunch down here we get all the castoffs LOL. So the cars just sit in the garage? Don't the mechanics start them up every once adn a while just to keep them turning over. So many cars and they never drive them: Sad,

I think they will be shiped to the UK. Well the cars that are well kept and looked after are the ones parked at the palace underground parking. 1000 cars are there. Most of them are Roll R.

Exspensive hobby but if you can then why not. But the thing is why buy so many of the same cars that is the part I don't get, well I guess when your mates come over you have enough to get out there and race all the same car LOL
