No worries. Thanks for the advice. FYI, I'm not a mechanical type of person. Even a simple bulb change can led into a big disaster. I'm more to computer type of person

Bayhas from the other forum said, my car might be running rich. Anybody care to explain what's "running rich"?

Re: Is this normal?

The smell went completely gone by the time I reach there. So they can’t do anything. The mechanics says the spark plugs don’t cause the fuel smell. The only thing that causes it is the ‘fuel line’. If there’s a leak in a fuel line, they would be some oil/petrol on the floor. SO tell me what colour is it if there is petrol/oil on the garage floor? The only liquid on the garage floor is only the a/c water.

Fuel evaporates so fast that I doubt you will see it unless it is a massive leak. I don't know how they check the fuel lines without pulling and inspecting each one. Mind you there may be some test they can run on each fuel injector to see they are getting the right amount of fuel, one that is getting less might have a busted fuel line.

OK running rich is when the car puts what is called a very rich mix into the combustion chamber to ignight the fuel to power the car. Obviously to get it to ignight there are three things air/oxygen, the spark and the fuel. running rich is when there is more fuel than normal being pumped in and as a result not all of it is ignighted so you can smell it moving through the system. All modern cars adjust their mix to get the car going when it is cold, like the old chokes that used to have to be done manually.

They didn't check it because the workshop is completly busy.

I have to book 4 days advance before bringing it to check and will cost $110.

I tell you the smell is completely gone. No smell. After from the dealer, I even bring it to my neighbour and ask them to smell If they smell anything. They only felt the heat of the car. I thought my nose was inmune.

He(neighbour) said this type of powerful/big engine car should have at least some smell. But he didn't smell anything though. Just the heat.

well, I guess your car is scared of the dealer, that's why it stopped smelling.

hahaha, yea, they are always scared of the doctor. Well, maybe if they aren't sick, you wont have to pay for their bill.

that's cool. Do you end up paying for it in taxes? That's what happens with us over here. k-12 is "free" but we really pay for it with our taxes every year.

Where's your German skills? Kindergatten? haha, j/k.

Re: Is this normal?

Damn... I was real sleepy that time but I can't sleep. Just came back from the hospital. Now I'm three legged. I sprang my leg while playing football with cousins.

No tax. I can't imagine someone with $300-$1000 salary range have to pay Tax. They have to pay a lot of stuff like utilities bills etc,
