I knew it was a bad switch because the window would roll up. When I tried to fix and clean the switch the plastic pieces broke apart to the point where it could not be reassembled. I have a new switch on order which is yet to arrive. The problem is the switch broke with the window down and I’ve no way to roll it back up. So there she sits with a piece of plastic covering the window and under a tarp. Obviously I can’t take it anywhere with the window down all the time as it will get vandalized, stolen, or wet. You don’t know how much you enjoy something until you’re forced to do with out it.

It was the thing to do at the time in the US market, however. You must admit that having three fourths of the windows still working after 25 years is impressive. Looks like I'm pulling the door panel off - It's also summer here now - we shutter the windows, turn up the AC and hide in our houses for the next six months. That's why I spent the winter working on the cars when the weather's cool. I hope I don't die of heatstroke.

jdc1244 Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | RE: June Preach to the Converted Thread Door panel removal is such a joy – cosmetic stuff is not my thing; 123 panels are easier than 126 panels but 126 panels are more secure. Window’s up and the new switch arrived and is installed – works like a charm.
