I drove the W203 C 350 Sedan, and THIS is what I think of it.

Hey guys,

I had the chance to drive a C350 Sedan this weekend on a closed off track, at a car event, and man, it is much nicer than I though. Since I have always had S Classes, (This is my 5th) I always thought that the only other good Mercedes-Benz was the E Class, and never really took too much notice of the C Class. I always thought the C was a small and underpowered car that was very cramped and not very interesting.

BUT I WAS SURE WRONG. I got to drive a black C350 Sedan, and got to drive it around a little course that has a straight-away, some esses, some emergency braking, and some last minute lane changes. Just for the heck of it, I turned off the ESP, just to see if it would make it a little more lively, (Cuz MB doesn't let you turn it off COMPLETELY.) I had a lot of fun in that car making the tires squeal all over the place. And... Since it wasn't my car, I drove it flat out pretty much the entire way (Except on corners, of course) and it was really great.

I always expected the C Class to be the underdog and the worst of all the MB's, but it isn't bad at all. It is very good. I don't know about the new C280, or C320, but the C350 is great. I think the C350, is a nice car. And since the 350 is nice in my opinion, the C55 AMG must be really really nice.

HOWEVER, since I like having a lot of space in my cars, the C is not for me at all. The back seat was very cramped when I sat in it, and in order to be comfortable in the front seat, I had to put it all the way back. But I can't blame the C. It is SUPPOSED to be compact.

NEVERTHELESS, the C Class is a really great car, and I do adore it greatly. If anyone asks me about the C, I will recommend it, as long as they are not looking for legroom and luggage capacity.

Oh no, it's alboogiee! Is the Touareg faster than the C230?

S500, how does the interior feel as in quality, and fit and finish?

haha, yea, but they aren't supposed to be THAT interesting. They are the least expensive of all the Mercedes-Benz', so they shouldn't be exceptional, ya know?

well, you can't compare it to an S Class, so I can't really be the one to judge(Since all I have, and all I have ever had.... were S Classes)

But I'll try to tell you. There are still definately some cheap plasticy bits and things that get you annoyed of, but you can't really expect too much of it, because it is only a C Class. You can only get so much for new 25-30 grand Mercedes-Benz.

It is an O.K. car, but I wouldn't want one, because I could get my dream car, (A 1999 W140 S600) for around the same price anyway...

But it is definately a very small Mercedes-Benz.

I would like to hear alboogiee's thoughts on the W203, since he lives with one.

oh no, I didn't like it. I didn't like it at all. I LOVED IT!

It was really fun. That is certainly a very nice zippy car. A lot better than I thought it was. I have to find out if the W203's predecessor, the W202, is as good.

Great car though.

if you find a W202 C36 or C43, it should be similar.

The 2004.5+ W203 Sport Sedans inherited a lot of parts from AMG and have a very sporty ride. Even a C350 Luxury or C280 won't feel nearly as nimble as the Sport Sedans.

yea, I drove the C350 Sport Sedan. It felt very nimble and manueverable. I liked having all those tires sqealing. It was a lot of fun.

I like those W202 C36's and C43's. Those look very nice. I have got to drive one of those.

I keep telling people, the W203 is a great little car.

It's definitely stood the test of time.

Really like the last C230K's... they were zippy & economical both.
