At 37,600 miles I inspected the pads and rotors. Front rotors are 31.6mm and rear are at 21.75mm. Minimum thicknesses are 30 mm and 20 mm front/rear. The front pads are about 11mm thick on both the inner and ourter pads. The rear pads are down to about 8mm. The right outter pad is worn slightly more than the other three rear pads.
I think the rotors can easily make it to 100K miles if I contunue with a high proportion of highway miles. The front pads appear to have a good chance of outliving the rear pads. I will probably have to replace the rear pads prior to hitting 60K miles.
I am happy with the expected life of the brake system components and at this point will probably use stock MB parts when I do the brake job. |
