WOF stands for Warrant of Fitness, every car here must get one every 6 months unless the car is under 5 years old. So I took the old W140 down to VTNZ, (Vehicle Testing New Zeland) who are known to be really anal (but I want my car to run right) and the damn thing passed with flying colours. Teh guy said it was one of the best he had seen mechanicly.  So now I am good for another 6 months to keep driving.  | |

| RE: Got my WOF today!!!!! Congrats. In the US, we have a similar thing that we have to do every once in a while called a smog check, where you can find out whether or not your car is a "Gross Polluter" or not.  Congrats, and happy driving.  | ||

They just want to make sure that it does not ommit too much smog. They don't really care how well the car runs... | ||
