I guess it's Daewoo that went bangkrupt.

actually, they just sold themselves.

No, really, they did. To chevrolet. haha.

Here an the article:

Goodbye Daewoo, hello Chevrolet

In January 2005, the Daewoo brand was replaced across the whole of Europe by General Motors' global value brand Chevrolet. One of the biggest names in motoring, Chevrolet has been building and selling high quality, charismatic cars offering great value for money around the world since 1911. Although the name started in the USA, Chevrolets are now sold in over 90 countries.

What does this change mean? It means that the Daewoo Matiz, the Daewoo Kalos, the Daewoo Lacetti, the Daewoo Tacuma, the Daewoo Lanos, the Daewoo Nubira and the Daewoo Leganza are no more.

However, the good news is that their enduring quality and value are reflected in the current range, with the added attraction of that great name - Chevrolet. There's the all-new Chevrolet Matiz, which combines cheeky looks with about-town practicality. Then there's the slightly larger, but no less stylish Chevrolet Kalos, the family-sized Chevrolet Lacetti, a three body style range in itself, and our really practical MPV, the Chevrolet Tacuma.

What do these new cars have in common? Great prices, great quality, great features and a no hassle purchase and ownership experience.

haha, yea. I have rode in one of those in India, and they are really slow cars. They are used as taxi's everywhere. I kinda like them though, because even though they are BRAND NEW, they look like they are 50 years old.

There's one over here though. Very unique and it's like a British colonial time whenever I see that car.

I guess they can add a turbo in it to make it super fast?

yea, they said they made these to look like Morris Oxfords from the mid 50's from Britain.

The Ambassadors from India have Mitsubishi Engines in them when they come out of the factory.

It's good if a Chinese company makes a W140 design in 10 years time.

If you see Chinese car company using old Audi and VW design to make their cars.

that would be really nice if a chinese car company came out with a W140 design. The best part, would be that it would be very cheap $$$$!

I'm sure that it will have a hood star on top. People can just change it. MB hood stars aren't that expensive. about $25 US for a brand new one off of eBay.
