Ed Mclass Expert Date registered: Apr 2006 Location: Nashville, Tennessee Vehicle(s): 1958 180a, 2010 GLK, 2000 G 500, 2005 SLK 350 Posts: 1215 | Erratic Fuel Tank reading I drove over to the Post Office and noticed I was down by 1/4 tank with only 45 miles on the clock. Strang I thought. Got back in and fired up and the needle had returned to nearly full. Anyone ever have this happen? I parked level each time. | ||

fgwinn Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | RE: Erratic Fuel Tank reading I recently saw something about corroded sending unit contacts caused by "dirty" fuel. I think it was diesel fuel though. The oil companies were reimbursing customers for $500 in repairs. | ||
