zeq Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | My BMW 3 series This is my daily car. I like this car because it’s compact, easy to park everywhere and more powerful. It’s a 328i model- The highest spec among E36 before the M3 which is a totally different league. I went to a friend farewell dinner and before going there, I took some pictures of the BMW. I really need a tripod to take night time pictures. I find the W140 a bit of a task as a daily driver sometimes too. The 328i must have alot of pep with the 2.8 in a car that size.

Same engine in the 328i and easy maintain. Yeah This 328 has a lot of power. i like to use it for overtaking. What's unique though about this 328i model.Only 4-5 units are here(Cost $120k in 1996). The ex-owner of this car is the Prince of Bru.

I would buy a S500 in a heartbeat if I could get insurance but because of my age I can't :(. The prices of the 500 and 740 are comming down here due to fuel costs.

nomad Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | RE: My BMW 3 series You got good taste in cars there Zeq I love the E36 328, it's a fantastic car I was lucky enough to have the use of a E36 328i a couple of months ago while my 500SEL was in the bodyshop, I was quite impressed with the little thing Well built, nice ride, lots of power and a great chassis...I really miss that car and would seriously consider buying one...if I didn't have my mind set on a W140 that is A friend recently bought himself this E46 and while it's an awesome car with all the toys, it doesn't feel as solid as the old E36 I had

zeq Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | Re: My BMW 3 series Thanks. Yeah I don’t care about the power of the V8 or V12. Roads here aren’t for very very fast speed. Maintenance of bigger engine is also an issue. They are more expensive than the 6 cylinder unit. Nomad, The engine is so clean. It’s not a sport package from the looks from the body. The grey bumper and small side skirt shows it’s only a normal 328i. The rims are aftermarket. Mine has the big side skirt, 16 inch OEM sport package rims, stiffer suspension and sport OEM seats. Mine is a Euro hi-spec individual version. It has the clear Euro taillights and corners. Your friend’s E46 is very nice but it’s too girlish IMHO.

My mum drives slow and wants the smallest engine she can get. Go figure. For her the 318 would be fine 320 would be the max she would want she only does city driving at around 50-70km/h in our home town.

I don't want to do excessive mod to the car.Just like what that person did to his Silver E36 is enough for me.
