When it comes to "spoked" wheels, I gotta agree with Marsden.  Symmetry finishes what is otherwise an attempt at style.  In nature, the higher-functioning organisms exhibit lower planes of symmetry.  Strange how this is, but it is almost universal.  The simpler the organism the more planes of symmetry exhibited by its structure.  For some reason, this relationship appeals to me...  Since the lugs are 5 in number, it just makes sense to have the "spokes" be 5 or a multiple of 5...

And, if I may be permitted to venture into the Dark Side for a moment,
I realize that there are some "fussy" type wheels that I find very attractive.

For instance...

I must admit, I really love the pre-Bangle 5's and 7's.
Though I doubt I'd ever drive a Bavarian. But I digress

i'v had many a BMW......they are great cars!

i guess my favorite wheels would be those on my car, the Bundt Alloy wheels.....
