Interesting premise but those things are so impractical - the bed is too short to begin with, even if the midgate is opened and rear seats folded down.  In a subzero weather, driving with midgate down will no doubt give the driver a frostbite on the back of the head.

SWEET!!!!!!!!!! Who cares if it is practical, it would look so cool parked next to my Avalanche...or towing the trailer...with a CDI engine we'd be unstopable...muwahhahahahahah!

Re: H2 SUT MB style

It looks like it is based on the GL, which would probably be comparable to the Honda Ridgeline. Where did you find this? Is this really in the plans or is this photoshop?

I don't think it's in the plans but stranger things have happened.  Keep your fingers crossed - I do like the idea of CDI engine.  If done right, I would seriously consider it.  MB could also apply the same concept on C-Class and market it as the upscale version of Subaru Baja

Re: H2 SUT MB style

Redneck...I see myself more as a gentleman farmer. I don't live in a trailer, have a mullet, wear a wifebeata, drink liquor out of a paperbag, watch NASCAR or have any appliances on my front yard. I do need a vehicle that will carry grain bags, lumber and haybails without getting my upholstery dirty while at the same time providing reliable transportation in comfort and style.

The new Avalanche isn't all that bad.

Believe it or not, my wife likes cladding. I prefer the new style myself.

Re: H2 SUT MB style

Not to go too far off topic but what are those old Land Rovers like? A guy right up the street has had one for sale in his driveway so long that the for sale sign is completely faded in the windscreen.

PM Gareth Coe perhaps.  LOL, hold out for another few years and you may inherit it for free.

I don't have a good firsthand experience with LR's but watching the following might give you an idea:
