RE: My new 'Black' AMG Monoblocks

Right on!

Sundays are best for me, let's do something before it gets too cold, my car is in pre-hibernation mode at the moment and come winter there will be little chance of it coming out to play
Not to mention the slight handicap I-myself have at this time but, we'll get to that if the occasion arises

Re: My new 'Black' AMG Monoblocks

I was up in chch, just this past week too perhaps we should consider a meet sometime or something.

A meet up would be great!, but talk about changing places:

I was in Dunedin for a wedding just last weekend - down Saturday, back Sunday.
Shiiiite! but that return stretch - Ashburton to Ch'ch is drowsy long - needed my full attention - until..
Wife woke up around Burnham just as a Legacy blew past us on one of those long passing lanes, and was quite indignant.
I KNOW it was naughty (!) but at the next passing lane opportunity I found my old 560 still achieves 180kph in third (speedo says max 200) before I buttoned off.
Hell it felt good!.
The look in the Legacy owners face and his passenger as I floored it - pulled out and roared past them...priceless!!.
At the end of the passway I braked to slot behind a BMW540 that the Legacy had been otherwise chase/following.
What was really cool was that we all must have simultaneously felt 'nuff is enuff' and behaved ourselves in convoy right through to Hornby at a more legal sub 110.

Pardon my rave guys - I'm also just thinking of Photoman living at the end of that lovely Oxford looong straight road....with an SL to show us!.

There is a guy here in Dunedin with a great G wagon, it's even has the plate 280G or something like that, I've seen it a few times.

RE: My new 'Black' AMG Monoblocks

OK guys, while I was looking to get together earlier, there is a local mb club meet toward the end of may that we could wait till

Here's the details:

Sun 20 May - Canterbury Foothills & Backroads Tour (all roads will be tarsealed). Meet at Belfast Pub at 10.15am for a 10.30am departure.

I will be there (somehow), I guess you will too Dennis?
Sean, I hope you can make it along and Nathan it would be great if you were able to head up this way, pretty far to travel I know but the invitation is there for you

Doesn't matter if your not a member, I'm not and I still turn up to the occasional meet

Re: My new 'Black' AMG Monoblocks

I'm keen to go to that! If the opertunity arises we still could catch up before that.
I'll hopefully be picking up my 500SL this week, and then my second 300GE before the end of the month!
Does the club have a website?
