a bit slow here....

Hello everybody,

this forum seems to be a bit slow?

It must be this kind of a cool car - nobody has time to sit on the keyboard and is out driving the E-class.

I just have purchased a georgous 2006 E-wagon which might pushes the G-wagen just into a drive way corner.....

It will be delivered today and I plan to go on a 2k mile trip Sunday to get used to the new set of wheels......can't wait

Did You Get the Model Update W211?.. Is It Loaded with all the Goodies?

It is a 11/2005 I think, sold in 2/2006 and has lots of stuff in it. For sure there is a nav, heated seats and a power rear door.......it might be now just hrs away!

Do you have a list of ' all the Goodies' which makes it a real nice one? I then can just mark 'em off, item by item.......but I'm happy and excited anyhow.
I used to have a 300TE a few years back, it would take/carry a nice size fridge and even let you close the rear door.
Hopefully I can post some pics later on today.

Whooooa..............your baby is loaded!

I hardly found any of those things in mine Maybe I should only drive it after dark........
The car came in very late last night and for the morning pictures is was raining a bit - so even this goodie-less car would not go out into the harsh weather (SoCal)

What you mean with the 'Last Sat'? I thought next week there is another coming.......
I'm leaving tomorrow for the Western Slope of the Rocky Mountains and need to burn some Mp3's for the trip - what are my options to have my bluetooth phone working with the command display, Sat-radio and/or ipod interface? Those are the most important items ffor me, all the other stuff which came with the car are just fine for me.

Really apreciate any help and/or input

Yes..It was the Last Sat at The Cove...Don Bren Closed it down...Damm Irvine Co!!!
we took the smarts..lol Cab and crossblade

One can add The OE MB I Pod kit...Several Hours to Install But it works with all the controls on the steering wheel..Nice!

Blue tooth requires a New PSE mod and Puc in the cradle...But I have it and Use the Razr and It is Great!
Then You Will want..The Hands Free Voice control system...it is a LAW next year no more loose cell phones stuck ones ear..about time!!

Steve @www.MBENZNL.com can get all the goodies AND install them if needed ...Prices a LOT better than the stealership

Thanks for the info, isn't bluetooth alone fine without the voice rec system? If can point to the tel# with the command screen and the phone dials out - perfect! It would otherwise not recognize my non-schwabian pronouncation anyhow
I-pod with full integration is a must - right now only 99 tracks are accepted on my mp3's.
I'll give Steve a call and find out how long the waiting line is - seems like he like to work on new cars......

Asian ML: thanks, aren't all the woods the same? For the bare bottom model 211?

Must be the lighting or whatnot. Isn't the standard wood Burl Walnut or something like that?

What color wood is yours?

Thanks again for your help,

I contacted MBENZNL already and just have to make up my mind, is the voice control system not part of the phone system? It should be hands free anyhow, right? I think I'll opt for the bluetooth setup instead of a cradle based phone....

The Voice Control System Works with the CD Changer/Comand-Nav./radio/and the phone..it is Very Nice to have..also since the New law (Next Year) That NO Longer allows hand held phones...So The VA kit is a Must!

The Blue tooth Puc is installed in the Phone cradle @ the center console

Good Luck With The Mods!

My local MB Dealer was so kind to decode my VIN and under code 731 it shows 'Wurzelnuss' as wood type....
