Is this going to make my Valentine One useless? Is one location better than another when it comes to placement of the Valentine One?

The very bottom center of the windshield, and on both sides of the mirrors. Not sure if this has changed for MY07.

samhmbz Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | RE: Infrared-Reflecting Glass & Radar Detectors Heres the pic, ML500, R500 ML350, R350 w/ optional 3 zone climate control system Sam---- The vehicle is equipped with infrared (IR) reflecting glass which may affect performance of these devices. The windshield in this case has a metallic coating which prevents transmission of radio frequency (RF) signals. As described in the Operator’s Manual (Section – Controls in Detail, Useful Features, Infrared Reflecting Windshield), there are three “windows” in the glass which do not have this IR reflecting coating. These are located on the left and right sides of the interior rearview mirror at the upper edge of the windshield and in the center at the lower edge of the windshield. These areas are visible under proper lighting conditions from either outside (appear as a brown tint) or inside the vehicle (a cross hatch pattern). Correctly locate device in one of these three “windows”. (164IRPPG.jpg) Attachments ---------------- 164IRPPG.jpg (45KB - 2 downloads)
