Hi fellow Benzheads
Back in Germany 20 years ago I bought a 1983 300D and sold it 2 years later because at the time it just wasn`t fast enough for me. I have had a lot of different makes and models since then but I`ve always regretted selling that car.
Well last month I found a 1983 300 Turbodiesel for sale in Kansas that is identical to my former Benz with the addition of a turbo. I just had to have it. 
It has never seen salt and there is no rust to be seen anywhere,still has the original exhaust sytem on it even.
It does have transmission problems but I figured if I can`t fix it myself it would still be worth getting a rebuilt tranny for it, considering what I paid for it.
I`m sure I`ll have plenty of technical questions and hope to help out with some too.
