I am a 30 year MB vehicle owner/driver. I currently have a 300GD and 190E 2.3, and love them both., and have been an active member on the Gwagen board. A friend is selling his Black E320, 1998, with 67,000 miles. Extremely well maintained. He is buying an E320 diesel.

He changes oil every 2000 miles, and is a very particular owner. He is going to sell the car, but offered it to me for 16,500$ US. I have not stayed on top of the issues regarding the E320, and wonder what folks on this forum think of this particular vehicle - 1998 E320.? 

I know there were electrical issues during a period of years, secondary to the "green" wire insulation - they were made of corn husks or something very organic like that.  I can not recall if 1998 was included in those problem years  

 The car is perfect in every way. Drives like new. Not a single mark on the body. I know the owner and krown hou obsessive he is with his cars.  Very well maintained at the local dealer.

Thoughts???
