| led trailer lights... few months ago we had a topic on led light, I mentioned that i was in the long process of rewireing and changing all my old (00) trailer light to new LED light and wire. Tuesday night, we loaded up the SL that got traded in and i snapped a few pictures for you guys that have been asking about them.. Total cost was about $200 for all the lights, Then figure another $50-65.. for wire. I could not find the pre packaged wire ( the one that comes with 3 or 6 strands connected to each other) So i just went with 3 rolles from Autozone. Red black and Yellow. .16 gauge... We also gave each light its own grown wire back to the tounge of the trailer, My buddy brad says the more ground you have the bright the light.. ( no clue if this is true) At anyrate here are the pictures. As you can see the about 100 times brighter than before, I can now see when back up, and where the trailer is at night. In the future i think i might ad two more lights, ( 1 per finder side) just to help in the tight turns at night.. The first 4 pictures are of the regular running light, the last picture is with the brakes on...
