NAV volume

Is there a way to crank the volume for the audio in the NAV system. The manual just addresses setting the fade out for the radio. I have the radio completely faded out when NAV interupts, but it still seems low and I am concerned that wind noise this summer will completely drown her out. Any cheats out there?

RE: NAV volume

YES

When the navigator is speaking and only when she is speaking can you adjust the volume of the navigation.   So as soon as she begins to say "take a right in 300 feet" start cranking the volume.

Re: NAV volume

Thanks Doc. That does appear to work, but I was hoping for a more permanent solution.

RE: NAV volume

It is permanent so to speak.  It will stay at whatever volume it was left at.  I have put it loud in the past and forgot and OMG when it comes on I have jumped out of the seat.

Hipe this helps.

RE: NAV volume

^^^ Well, I wish.  I have to reset the NAV volume every single time I use it.

Because I don't want to hear her at all, I just want the visual cues.

Almost more trouble than it's worth.  Usually I just use the maps.

RE: NAV volume

Interesting.  In my CLS the volume is saved.  I have not tried it yet in the G500 though.

RE: NAV volume

Glad it worked.

Really like the new avatar.  Are you a firefighter?  Paramedic?  I learn something new about the car almost every day.

Re: NAV volume

Extremely accurate for the most part. Picks up 7-8 sats on average. Directions are dead on. POI appear up to date. Got me through the I95 George Washington Bridge interchange (very difficult task).
