| An amplifier/radio question
Shlomo's amplifier quit working quite a while back, but I didn't feel like pulling the console to futz with it-- when I did, this is what I've found:
The wire from the head-unit to tell the amplifier to turn on isn't sending constant power and/or the amplifier won't stay powered up.
I ran a new wire and the amplifier powers up for abut 1 second and then powers down.
The amplifier is a cheapie Sony, and the head-unit is an Aiwa. It's very likely either of them is dead based on price, but I'd like to further troubleshoot if possible. The car's stereo absolutely bites ass without the subwoofer to deepen the rather shrill 4/5" speakers at the 4 corners.
May I ask for some more troubleshooting advice? I don't know what else to do  |
