Interior Mirror Replacement Process

Interior Mirror Replacement Process

Has anyone replaced the interior mirror in the 124? I have a replacement, but am clueless on how to replace it...any suggestions or schmatics would be appreciated...you can email m directly if that works...thank you

Just firmly pull it out - it's on a clip with a spring. To replace, mount one side and exert pressure on the other with the heel of your palm - it can take quite a bit of effort.

Many thanks for the reply, the attached file would not open, but I understand what has to be done..the attachment looked like a press fit but I did not want to ruin anything. Thank you again! Steve

I finally got the Merc out of storage and have started going through it..I replaced the mirror and the hood strap assemble...my door post covers are loose and I will have to figure out the best way to reinstall them...car runs like new....turned 75,000 actual today...not a squeek, rattle or clunk anywhere-except when I close the doors...thanks for all the help!!
